Alternative Weddings Ireland – In the beginning…

In 2016 a group of celebrants who trained with the IIOC came together as colleagues and friends to create a website through which we could promote ourselves to couples who were planning their wedding. An eclectic bunch, we are from all parts of Ireland and all walks of life. We are united by our common standard of professionalism, joined in our passion for what we do and driven by our common goal – to design and deliver a ceremony for couples which makes their wedding day something out of the ordinary.

We tailor each ceremony around the wishes of the couple. We carefully craft love stories, add ceremony enhancements and can offer many suggestions towards creating a ceremony which reflects who you are and why you fell in love! We aim to make each ceremony unique, personal and memorable.

Having a trained celebrant at your wedding adds a necessary dimension of gravitas to the day. The highlight of any wedding should be the moment where the two people pledge their eternal love for each other in front of an audience of family and friends – the food, the drinks and the partying – those are all secondary (but wonderful!) additions to the day, which is a celebration of that pivotal moment.

Alternative Weddings Ireland has a celebrant for everyone. No matter what kind of a wedding you are planning, whether it is big or small, formal or casual, you will find a celebrant to suit your tastes. Weddings are what we love and helping couples before and during their wedding day is what we do best. You can read profiles for each of the celebrants and contact them to find out their availability. If you have any questions you can contact us for further information. You can follow us on Facebook or read our blog to see what we’ve been up to or are talking about.

If you are planning your wedding, contact us at Alternative Weddings Ireland to find out how we can help you make your day truly special.

We all know that weddings are great, let’s just get that out there to begin with.
